Lockington Fuel station in rural Victoria is an essential service providing fuel and supplies to the almost 2,500 people who live in the town and surrounding district. Lockington Fuel is open 5 ½ days a week and has been operated almost entirely by volunteers for the last 18 years since Lockington was about to lose its last fuel station
About 10 years ago, Wendy Sims, the Treasurer of Lockington District Business Inc., and the community sought to automate the books for the fuel station operations and have been very happily using Ezylink since then.
Wendy said, having Ezylink installed so that Quickfuel and MYOB can talk to each without hassles has been neat. “We would have had to employ someone full-time to do the data entry into MYOB and that just isn’t possible for a volunteer organisation, we had to have an automated function.”
Wendy has found great support from the Ezylink team if it is ever needed, with someone responding to queries in minutes and being very accommodating with time and easily remoting in to fix any coding issues if new products are added to the service station.
The Lockington District Business group is integral to the Lockington community, over the last 18 years they have added; a men’s shed, laundromat, community garden, Pub, community bank and op shop, neighbourhood house, youth group and a playground to their remit along with the service station.
We’re very proud that Ezylink is making things easier for this amazing volunteer community organisation to continue enriching and uniting the Lockington community.
